Natural gas inventories are up 12Bcf from last week. After an unusually warm winter and prolific wet and dry gas production from the Marcellus, Haynesville, Eagle Ford and Permian, we’re starting to see fundamentals change, showing a 3-4 bcfd under supply in the market. April is typically the beginning of injection season for the natural gas industry. This years 12Bcf injection compares to a 15Bcf and 3Bcf injection during the same week of 2015 and 2014 respectively. The most meaningful storage data will come in May and June, typically the peak injection months. Last year the peak natural gas injection occurred at the end of May @ 132Bcf.
